| Annie Sutter lives on houseboat in Sausalito and paints "UnderseaScapes," watercolors of fish, turtles, seahorses and jellyfish, sometimes realistic, sometimes whimsical. Currently she spends several months on the island of Maui, where, inspired by the sea, she paints coral reefs, "the rainforests of the sea, beautiful, host to a wealth of biodiversity, and according to recent worldwide studies, they are dying." The latest series of reef paintings titled "The Coral Kingdom," attempts to portray this vanishing beauty.
