| After a long career in art, beginning with fashion and book illustration in N.Y. to advertising illustration in San Francisco, I've turned to my first love, watercolor painting. Its fluidity and spontaneity provide the perfect medium for responding to the world around me.
As an adult I have lived on the water or at the water's edge, from Manhattan Beach in Los Angeles to Long Island Sound to the Mendocino coast to Bolinas and then to the wonderful Sausalito floating home community, where a windless late afternoon with undulating water reflections is sheer perfection.
My education included majoring in art at the U. of Washington, graduation from the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, and in recent years workshops with watercolor instructors Barbara Nechis, Judi Betts, Skip Lawrence, and Frank Webb.
