I was the kid in school who always was drawing on her papers, a doodler at heart. My prize possession at age six was a tin of watercolor pencils that I hoarded. My need to create has grown throughout the years. I feel fortunate that I found art therapy as a profession, it supports my view that we as humans have a need to create and to be exposed to the creativity of others to grow. My primary occupation is as a clinician and art therapist with teenagers at a day treatment setting .I also teach art therapy at Notre Dame de Namur University. Over the years my artwork has predominantly arisen out of my art therapy process. The pieces I am showing are representational of my on going art therapy. I feel art and creativity are essential. Art is a way of creating community, vision, and voice.
