Ric Miller, a Sausalito floating home denizen since 1994 expresses a passion in his panoramic landscape photographs. These images allow you to "step inside" the captured, vibrant scenes and relive the moment in time.
"I shoot very wide angle photographs to closely approximate an expression of visual reality." In turn, this creates a tension between the strange and the familiar in our lives.
The collection consists of scenes of California landscapes including the eclectic Sausalito floating home community, the wild Pacific coastline, California wildflowers, the Sierras, and the deserts of Death Valley and the Mojave Preserve.
These high resolution panoramic images are a series of 16-18 individual photographs meticulously seamed via computer and printed on fine art paper or canvas. The printing process is referred to as "giclée". The artwork surpasses ordinary photographs in clarity, beauty and longevity.
Ric Miller's roots lie in photography having learned the art of black and white from his father, Bob. His talent in composition and print making is from his training as an architect and practice as a designer.
Miller's goals are to have his artwork become ubiquitous among fine art collectors and for his images to raise consciousness of the precious natural beauty that surrounds us.
