I have always had strong artistic interests and
have taken countless studio art classes. I love to create works
in three dimensions, and have been making sculpture for over thirty
years. I have a studio in Sausalito, and have been able to spend
an increasing amount of time pursuing this passion. I primarily
sculpt abstract forms in wood and stone; I also work in welded steel
and cast bronze. Some of my recent work explores the forms and forces
related to sails, waves and wind .
I have shown my work at the Man Art exhibition of the 2003 Sausalito
Art Festival, Claudia Chapline Gallery in Stinson Beach, Marin Art
and Garden Center, Underground Gallery of the Downtown Art Center
in San Rafael, Palo Alto Cultural Center, Palo Alto Art Club, Marin
Open Studios, ICB Open Studios and Artists of Issaquah Dock exhibitions.
I was commissioned to sculpt a perpetual trophy for the Sausalito
Yacht Club and invited to participate in the art auction of the
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. For the past nine years, I have
been a participating artist in the San Francisco Art Institute Auction.
In California, my sculpture is in the collections of Roselyne (Cissie)
Swig, Susan and David Coulter, Michelle and Dan Skaff, Sarah Murray,
Sienna Holdings, Luisiana and Dick Gale, Sera Lane, Eileen and Tom
Gehrig, Judy Holm, Shareen Punlan, Juline and Joe Paulino, Richard
Madden, Bill Suiter, Sally Campbell, Kristan Diefenbach, Pam and
Eric Lischeske, and the Sausalito Yacht Club. On the East Coast,
my work can be found in the collection of Suzanne and John Scully
of Vero Beach, Florida and Rye, New York.
